Can Verstappen win in Singapore for the first time? Will McLaren be crowned Constructors’ Champions? And will Stroll move up the list of most starts without a win? Here are the milestones and records which could be broken at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix!
THE 2025 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX MILESTONES
The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix will be the 1,143rd World Championship event in Formula 1 history.
This will be the 16th time that Formula 1 has raced in Singapore. It will be the 16th Singapore Grand Prix held at Marina Bay Street Circuit since the circuit joined the calendar in 2008.
The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix will be the 24th Singapore Grand Prix since the event was first held – as a non-championship race – in 1966.
The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix will mark the fifth time that a race has taken place on October 5. The last race to do so was the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, at Suzuka. Three other races have been held on this date – all three the United States Grand Prix – in 1969, 1975 and 1980.
THE CONSTRUCTORS’ CHAMPIONSHIP FOR McLAREN?
McLaren could win the 2025 Constructors’ Championship at the Singapore Grand Prix. They currently lead the way in the standings by 333 points. There are a maximum of 346 points still available in the 2025 season, meaning that in order to win the title this weekend, McLaren need only to score 13 points.
If McLaren win the title, it would be the tenth time that they have been crowned Constructors’ Champions. They would overtake Williams for second place on the list of most titles won.
This would be the 18th time that a team have won the Constructors’ Championship in consecutive years. It would be the first time McLaren have done so since winning four in a row between 1988 and 1991.
It would be the first time that the Constructors’ Championship has been decided at the Singapore Grand Prix, making Marina Bay Street Circuit the 28th different circuit at which the Constructors’ Championship has been won.
If McLaren do seal the Constructors’ Championship at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, they would equal the record for most rounds remaining having already wrapped up the championship. Red Bull are the current record holders, having won the 2023 title with six races remaining. There are six rounds left in 2025 after the Singapore race.
THE FORMULA 1 RECORDS WHICH COULD BE BROKEN
Marina Bay Street Circuit is one of two circuits on the current calendar at which Max Verstappen has never previously taken pole position. If he takes pole for the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, he will overtake Sebastian Vettel for second on the list of most circuits at which a driver has taken pole position. It would be the 24th track at which Verstappen has taken pole, having added Baku City Circuit as the 23rd in his collection last time out.
A pole position for Max Verstappen at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would be his 47th with Red Bull. That would see him overtake Ayrton Senna for third on the list of most poles with a single team. Senna recorded 46 poles with McLaren during his career.
Marina Bay Street Circuit is the only track on the current F1 calendar at which Max Verstappen has never previously won. A victory at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would make this the 27th different circuit at which he has won.
Lewis Hamilton can become the first driver in history to score 5,000 World Championship points this weekend – but he will only do so if he finishes in the top two. He needs to score 16.5 points to reach the milestone.
If McLaren lock out the front row for the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, this will be the team’s 70th front row lock-out. They will become the second constructor to reach the milestone, after Mercedes who did so at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix.
If Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri win the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, they will join a list of eight other drivers who’ve won as many as ten Grands Prix without ever winning the title.
A pole position at any Grand Prix in 2025 for Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto or Isack Hadjar would make them the youngest Grand Prix polesitter in F1 history.
Max Verstappen holds the record for wins from the most different grid positions in Formula 1. He’ll become the first driver to win from 11 different grid slots this weekend should he win from 5th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th or 20th on the grid.
If Max Verstappen wins the race without having started from pole position, it will be the 33rd race which he has won from a position other than pole. That would see him equal Alain Prost for third place on the list of most Grand Prix victories away from pole position.
A Grand Slam for Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton – winning from pole position having led every lap and set the fastest lap – would be their seventh Grand Slam. It would see them take outright second place on the list of most Grand Slams in F1, behind only Jim Clark.
Lance Stroll makes his 183rd start at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. If he fails to win, he’ll equal Nick Heidfeld for fourth on the list of most F1 starts without a victory. Nico Hulkenberg continues to be top of the list, with 243 starts without a win – 35 more than Andrea de Cesaris, who is second in the order.
A win for Lewis Hamilton would make him the 16th driver to have won Grands Prix with as many as three different teams.
A win for Ferrari would make 2025 the 60th season in which they’ve won a Grand Prix.
A victory for a Ferrari-powered car this weekend would make Ferrari the first engine manufacturer to have powered 250 victories in Formula 1. Of the 249 previous victories, Sebastian Vettel’s with Toro Rosso at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix is the only one which was not taken in a Ferrari chassis.
THE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX RECORDS ON OFFER
Victory for Lewis Hamilton at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would see him equal Sebastian Vettel’s record of five wins at F1’s original night race.
If a driver other than Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz or Lando Norris wins the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, they would become the sixth different diver to win in the last six Singapore race weekends.
Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari are all tied for the most wins at Marina Bay Street Circuit, each with four victories. A win for any of those three teams at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would see them set a new outright record.
A top three finish for Lewis Hamilton at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would see him equal Sebastian Vettel as the driver with the most podium finishes in Singapore. It would be Hamilton’s eighth top three result at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Lewis Hamilton shares the record for most Fastest Laps at the Singapore Grand Prix with Daniel Ricciardo. Hamilton could extend the record to four this weekend, or the current record tally could be equalled by Fernando Alonso.
Mercedes have the most fastest laps of any team in Singapore, with four. Their record could be equalled in the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix by Red Bull.
Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson currently hold 100% points-finishing records at the Singapore Grand Prix. Antonio Giovinazzi and David Coulthard are the only other drivers in that club. A points finish for Leclerc would make him the fourth driver to finish in the points on all of his first six appearances at Marina Bay Street Circuit, after Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel and Sergio Perez.
Lewis Hamilton shares the record for most points-scoring appearances at the Singapore Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel. Hamilton could become the first driver to score here on 13 occasions this weekend.
Hamilton is also tied with Vettel for the most finishes in Singapore, with 12. Hamilton can set a new record this weekend, while the existing shared record can be equalled by Fernando Alonso.
Sebastian Vettel leads the way for most laps led in Singapore, with 252. Lewis Hamilton will surpass that figure if he leads four laps of the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix.
In terms of teams, Ferrari (256), Mercedes (232) or Red Bull (228) could walk away from the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix as the team who’ve led the most laps overall at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Carlos Sainz holds a 100% finish rate at the Singapore Grand Prix. Another finish this weekend would make him the second driver, after Sebastian Vettel, to cross the finish line on all of his first nine appearances in Singapore.
German drivers have more wins than drivers from any other nation in Singapore, with six. British drivers could equal the record with pole position at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix.
Germany and Britain are tied for the most podium finishes in Singapore, with 11 each. Either nation could set a new outright record this weekend.
Ten drivers are currently tied for the most DNFs at the Singapore Grand Prix, including Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg. A DNF for any of those drivers would make them the first to fail to finish here on four occasions.
A first lap retirement for Nico Hulkenberg, Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon or Yuki Tsunoda would make them the first driver to record multiple first lap DNFs here.
2025 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX: QUALIFYING RECORDS
Lewis Hamilton is currently tied with Sebastian Vettel for the most pole positions at the Singapore Grand Prix. A pole for Hamilton this weekend would be a record-breaking fifth at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
A pole position for Lando Norris at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix would make him the second driver to take consecutive pole positions at Marina Bay Street Circuit, tying with Charles Leclerc’s record of two consecutive poles at the track.
Ferrari lead the way as the most successful engine manufacturer in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, having powered seven poles. Their record could be equalled this weekend by Mercedes.

LONGEVITY RECORDS ON OFFER FOR HAMILTON AND ALONSO
A win for Lewis Hamilton would see him move into the top ten of Formula 1’s oldest Grand Prix winners. He’d also become the second-oldest British driver to win a Formula 1 race, behind only Nigel Mansell.
A victory for Fernando Alonso would make him the sport’s fifth oldest winner – and the oldest since Juan Manuel Fangio at the 1957 German Grand Prix. Only nine drivers have won races at the age of over 40. The most recent driver to do so was Nigel Mansell, at the 1994 Australian Grand Prix.
A pole position for Lewis Hamilton in 2025 would make him the first driver in his 40s to take pole position since Nigel Mansell at the 1994 Australian Grand Prix. He would be the sixth driver to take a pole position above the age of 40.
Lewis Hamilton is currently tied with Michael Schumacher as the driver who has set the fastest lap of a Grand Prix in the most consecutive seasons. Schumacher set a fastest lap in at least one race in all 15 seasons between 1992 and 2006, while Hamilton has set a fastest lap in every season since 2010. A fastest lap for Hamilton this year would see him become the first driver to take a fastest lap in 16 consecutive seasons.
A win for Fernando Alonso at any race in 2025 would see him set a new record for the longest gap between two Formula 1 victories, with his last having come at the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix. The current record is 6 years, 6 months and 28 days, set by Riccardo Patrese.
A pole position for Fernando Alonso in 2025 would make him the sport’s fourth-oldest polesitter. He would be the oldest polesitter since Jack Brabham at the 1970 Spanish Grand Prix.
