George Russell took victory in the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, claiming the fifth victory of his career and his second win of the season. Russell is the fourth driver to have won multiple races in 2025 and is the 58th driver to have recorded five wins in his Formula 1 career.

This was Mercedes’ first victory at Marina Bay Street Circuit since 2018. They are the fourth different team to win here in the last four years. Mercedes become the first team to record as many as five victories in Singapore.

This was the sixth victory for a British driver at the Singapore Grand Prix. Britain equals Germany as the nation with the most wins at the event.

This was Russell’s 23rd podium result, equalling James Hunt, Michele Alboreto and Jacques Villeneuve for 50th on the all-time list.

Russell recorded consecutive podium finishes for the first time since doing so at the first two races of the year.

2025 is the 11th time in the 16 Singapore Grands Prix to date that the polesitter has won the race.

Russell’s win is only the second time in his five Singapore Grand Prix appearances that he has scored points.

McLAREN WIN THE TITLE

McLaren were crowned 2025 Constructors’ Champions as a result of the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. They equalled Red Bull’s record for most races remaining having already won the title. Red Bull also won with six rounds left to run in 2023.

This was McLaren’s tenth Constructors’ Championship win in total. They overtake Williams for second place on the list of most titles won.

This is the first time McLaren have won the Constructors’ Championship in consecutive seasons since their run of four titles in a row between 1988 and 1991. It is the 18th time that a team has won more than one title in a row.

Marina Bay Street Circuit becomes the 28th different circuit at which the Constructors’ Championship has been won.

ON THE PODIUM

Max Verstappen and Lando Norris joined George Russell on the podium at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. With both Russell and Norris on the podium, Britain overtook Germany as the nation with the most podium finishes at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Verstappen finished as runner-up, recording his 121st podium finish. It puts him one top three finish away from equalling Sebastian Vettel for third on the all-time list.

Marina Bay Street Circuit remains the only track on the current calendar at which Max Verstappen has never taken victory. This is the third time – after 2018 and 2024 – that Verstappen has finished as runner-up here.

Verstappen makes this the 13th time in the last 14 Singapore Grand Prix weekends that a Red Bull driver has finished on the podium. Since 2010, the only exception is 2023.

This is the first time Verstappen has finished on the podium at four races in a row since doing so at the 2024 Japanese, Chinese, Miami and Emilia Romagna Grands Prix.

Lando Norris recorded the 40th podium finish of his career, overtaking Sergio Perez for 25th on the all-time list.

2025 is the third year in a row that Norris has finished on the Singapore Grand Prix podium, each time finishing in a different position.
