This was Alonso’s best qualifying result in Hungary since 2014, when he also qualified fifth. 2010 was the last time he qualified higher than fifth at the track.
Lance Stroll ended a streak of four Q1 eliminations by reaching Q3 for the first time since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. It was his second top ten qualification of the year.
This was Stroll’s first top six qualifying result since qualifying third at the 2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Gabriel Bortoleto reached Q3 for the third time in the last four races, recording consecutive Q3 appearances for the first time in his career.
Qualifying seventh for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, Bortoleto recorded his best qualifying result to date in Formula 1.

OUT IN Q1
Red Bull had never recorded a Q1 exit at the Hungarian Grand Prix prior to 2024. The team has now recorded two Q1 exits at the track in the last two seasons. Yuki Tsunoda qualified 16th for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix.
