Your 2024 Japanese Grand Prix Predictions: The Results

Did you predict home points for Tsunoda? Or a dry race? How many of your pre-race predictions for the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix were correct? Find out below!

1. WHO WILL WIN THE 2024 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX?

YOUR PREDICTION: MAX VERSTAPPEN

CORRECT ANSWER: MAX VERSTAPPEN

Almost 70% of voters expected Max Verstappen to claim a third win of the season at the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix – and he did so. He became only the second driver, after Michael Schumacher, to have won at Suzuka in three consecutive seasons.

2. WHERE WILL TSUNODA FINISH?

YOUR PREDICTION: 7th – 10th

CORRECT ANSWER: 7th – 10th

Yuki Tsunoda’s impressive run of form continued with another points finish. Tsunoda finished tenth in his home Grand Prix, becoming the first Japanese driver to score a point at the Japanese Grand Prix since Kamui Kobayashi in 2012.

3. WILL ANY McLAREN DRIVERS FINISH ON THE PODIUM?

YOUR PREDICTION: NEITHER WILL

CORRECT ANSWER: NEITHER WILL

Lando Norris qualified in the top three on the grid for the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix but, as over half the voters expected, neither McLaren driver finished in the top three in the race. Norris finished fifth, while Oscar Piastri was overtaken by George Russell on the last lap and came home sixth.

4. WILL ANY INTERMEDIATE OR WET TYRES BE USED IN THE RACE?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

Although there was rain on Friday, the rest of the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix weekend remained dry and no wet or intermediate tyres were used during the race.

5. WILL WILLIAMS, SAUBER OR ALPINE SCORE A POINT?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

The three teams who failed to score a point in the first three races of the year remained point-less after the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix. Of the six cars, Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas finished highest, in 14th place.
