Your 2023 Singapore Grand Prix Predictions: The Results

Did you predict a non-Red Bull win? Or a McLaren podium? Or points for AlphaTauri? How many of your pre-race predictions for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix were correct? Find out below!

1. WILL RED BULL TAKE POLE AND WIN?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

Red Bull neither took pole nor won the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, ending their 15-race winning streak. Max Verstappen was the team’s top qualifier and finisher. Neither Red Bull driver reached Q3 for the first time since the 2018 Russian Grand Prix, with Verstappen qualifying 11th. In the race, Verstappen finished fifth while team-mate Sergio Perez came home eighth.

2. WHO’LL RECORD THE BEST QUALIFYING RESULT – ASTON MARTIN, MERCEDES, FERRARI OR McLAREN?

YOUR PREDICTION: McLAREN

CORRECT ANSWER: FERRARI

Ferrari received only 19% of the vote in this pole but came out on top in qualifying. After topping all three practice sessions, Ferrari were fastest in qualifying by 0.072 seconds, with Carlos Sainz securing his fifth career pole.

3. WHERE WILL THE TOP McLAREN DRIVER FINISH?

YOUR PREDICTION: ON THE PODIUM

CORRECT ANSWER: ON THE PODIUM

As almost 40% of voters predicted, the top McLaren driver finished on the podium. In his upgraded McLaren, Lando Norris finished as runner-up in the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, finishing less than a second behind race winner Carlos Sainz. Oscar Piastri also impressed, driving from 17th to seventh.

4. WILL ALPHATAURI SCORE ANY POINTS?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

Only a third of voters expected AlphaTauri to pick up points this weekend. On only his third Formula 1 outing, Liam Lawson recorded the first points of his career with an impressive drive to ninth place.

5. WHEN WILL THE FIRST SAFETY CAR OUTING OCCUR?

YOUR PREDICTION: BEFORE LAP 10

CORRECT ANSWER: BETWEEN LAP 10 AND 30

The Safety Car made its first appearance in the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix as a result of debris scattered onto the circuit by Logan Sargeant’s front wing following a scrape with the wall.
