Your 2023 Belgian Grand Prix Predictions: The Results

Did you predict an eighth win in a row for Verstappen? Or that both Aston Martin drivers would score points? How many of your pre-race predictions for the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix were correct? Find out below!

1. WILL VERSTAPPEN WIN THE 2023 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

Over 85% of voters predicted that Max Verstappen would take an eighth consecutive victory at the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix. A grid penalty dropped the Red Bull driver to sixth on the grid, but he was soon back at the front of the pack. Verstappen became only the second driver, after Sebastian Vettel in 2013, to record eight consecutive Formula 1 wins.

2. WILL THE SPRINT WINNER ALSO WIN THE GRAND PRIX?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

Another unstoppable weekend for Max Verstappen, who won both Saturday’s Sprint from pole and the Grand Prix itself. Verstappen’s championship lead now stands at 125 points as F1 heads into its summer break.

3. WILL McLAREN RECORD A DOUBLE TOP FIVE RESULT?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

McLaren recorded double top five finishes at both the British and Hungarian Grands Prix but didn’t keep that streak going at Spa. Oscar Piastri retired on the opening lap of the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix following contact with Carlos Sainz at Turn 1. Lando Norris had a rollercoaster of a race. Starting seventh, he dropped to the rear of the field before rising back up to seventh by the chequered flag.

4. WILL A TEAM OTHER THAN MERCEDES, RED BULL OR FERRARI FINISH ON THE PODIUM?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

Just Red Bull and Ferrari on the podium at the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix. Williams remain the only team other than the big three to appear on the podium at Spa since 2016, thanks to George Russell’s second place finish in the rain-hit 2021 race.

5. WILL BOTH ASTON MARTIN DRIVERS FINISH IN THE POINTS?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

For the fifth time in the last six races, both Aston Martin drivers finished within the points at the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix. Through its various guises, the Silverstone team has scored in every Spa race since 2009.
