McLaren have recorded six 1-2 finishes to date in the 2025 season. If they record another, it would be the first time since 1988 that they have recorded as many as six 1-2 results in a single year.
Having recorded 1-2 results in the last two races, a 1-2 finish for McLaren at the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix would make this the first time that the team has recorded three consecutive 1-2 results since the 1997 European Grand Prix, the 1998 Australian Grand Prix and the 1998 Brazilian Grand Prix.
A victory for Lando Norris at the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix would make this the first time in his career that he has recorded three consecutive wins.
If Nico Hulkenberg scores a point in the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix, it would be the first time that he has scored points at as many as five races in a row since doing so between the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix and the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix.
If Oscar Piastri continues to lead the championship after the Belgian Grand Prix, this will be the first time an Australian driver has led the title race after as many as nine consecutive races since Jack Brabham led after all nine races in the 1959 season. It would equal the record for the most consecutive races after which an Australian driver has led the championship standings.
Unless he finishes in the top three, Yuki Tsunoda will become the sixth driver to make as many as 100 starts without recording a podium on any of those occasions, after Philippe Alliot, Pierluigi Martini, Adrian Sutil, Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz.
A pole position for Red Bull this weekend would be their 108th pole, overtaking Lotus for fifth on the list of most pole positions for a team in Formula 1.

Max Verstappen holds the record for wins from the most different grid positions in Formula 1. He’ll become the first driver to win from 11 different grid slots this weekend should he win from 5th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th or 20th on the grid.
If Max Verstappen wins the race without having started from pole position, it will be the 33rd race which he has won from a position other than pole. That would see him equal Alain Prost for third place on the list of most Grand Prix victories away from pole position.
A Grand Slam for Max Verstappen – winning from pole position having led every lap and set the fastest lap – would be his sixth Grand Slam. That would see him equal Lewis Hamilton for second on the list of most Grand Slams in F1, behind only Jim Clark.
A win for Lewis Hamilton would make him the 16th driver to have won Grands Prix with as many as three different teams.
A win for Ferrari would make 2025 the 60th season in which they’ve won a Grand Prix.

A front row start for Lewis Hamilton would see him become the first driver to make ten front row starts at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri is the only current driver with a 100% Q3 appearance rate at the Belgian Grand Prix. If he holds on to it, he’ll become only the third driver – after Mark Webber and Nick Heidfeld – to maintain a 100% Q3 appearance rate at the circuit having made as many as three appearances.
Pierre Gasly has the most Q2 exits of any driver at the Belgian Grand Prix, with five. His record could be equalled this weekend by Lance Stroll or Nico Hulkenberg.

Any of the three drivers could become the first to record four Q1 exits here this weekend, while the current record could be equalled by Lance Stroll or Carlos Sainz.

Meanwhile, a victory for Fernando Alonso would make him the sport’s fifth oldest winner – and the oldest since Juan Manuel Fangio at the 1957 German Grand Prix. A fastest lap for Hamilton this year would see him become the first driver to take a fastest lap in 16 consecutive seasons.
A win for Fernando Alonso at any race in 2025 would see him set a new record for the longest gap between two Formula 1 victories, with his last having come at the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix. The current record is 6 years, 6 months and 28 days, set by Riccardo Patrese.
