Your 2022 Dutch Grand Prix Predictions: The Results

Did you predict another home win for Verstappen? Or that Stroll would reach Q3? How many of your pre-race predictions for the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix were correct? Find out below!

1. WILL MAX VERSTAPPEN WIN AT HOME?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

For the second year in a row, Max Verstappen won his home race. After taking pole position on Saturday, Verstappen fended off the late race threat from Mercedes to win the race by four seconds.

2. WILL BOTH ALPINE DRIVERS SCORE POINTS?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

Fernando Alonso finished sixth, while Esteban Ocon came home in ninth place. That made the Dutch Grand Prix the fifth consecutive race at which Alpine have scored with both cars. It’s the first time that the team have achieved that feat since they were under their Renault guise in 2006.

3. WHERE WILL GASLY FINISH?

YOUR PREDICTION: 11TH OR LOWER / DNF

CORRECT ANSWER: 11TH OR LOWER / DNF

Pierre Gasly missed out on points for the sixth time in the last seven races. He came home in 11th place, 4.5 seconds behind 10th-placed Lance Stroll.

4. WILL ANYONE GAIN MORE THAN 5 POSITIONS?

YOUR PREDICTION: YES

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

Fernando Alonso was the only driver to gain more than five positions from where he started in the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix. Having started 13th, Alonso finished the race in sixth place, picking up seven positions over the course of the Grand Prix.

5. WILL AN ASTON MARTIN DRIVER BE ELIMINATED IN Q1?

YOUR PREDICTION: STROLL WILL, VETTEL WON’T

CORRECT ANSWER: VETTEL WILL, STROLL WON’T

After running off track on his final push lap in Q1, Sebastian Vettel could qualify no higher than 19th for the Dutch Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Lance Stroll ended his Q3 drought, qualifying in the top ten for the first time since the Miami Grand Prix.
