Verstappen finally adds Marina Bay to his winning collection, Leclerc equals Barrichello and Vettel for second on the Ferrari podium list and Hadjar becomes the first driver to score a point from the pit lane in Singapore. Here are the facts and statistics from the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix!
VERSTAPPEN WINS THE 2026 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX
Max Verstappen took victory in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, recording the 73rd victory of his F1 career. This is the first time Verstappen has taken successive wins since the end of the 2025 season.
Verstappen secured a 73rd victory with Red Bull, passing the number of wins that Michael Schumacher took with Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton, who won 84 Grands Prix with Mercedes, is now the only driver to have won more Grands Prix with a single constructor than Verstappen.
This was Red Bull’s fifth Singapore Grand Prix victory – their first since Sergio Perez won at Marina Bay Street Circuit in 2022. Red Bull equalled Mercedes’ record for most Singapore Grand Prix wins.
Marina Bay Street Circuit becomes the 27th different circuit at which Verstappen has taken a win. He is only the second driver, after Lewis Hamilton, to have won at as many as 27 different venues. The MADRING is now the only track on the 2026 calendar at which Verstappen has not won.
Verstappen became the second driver, after Hamilton, to make 250 consecutive Grand Prix starts this weekend. He also became only the second driver, after Hamilton, to win on his 250th race start. Hamilton won on his 250th appearance at the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
This was the 19th Grand Prix which Verstappen led from start to end, equalling Ayrton Senna for second on the list of most victories having led from lights to flag.
The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix was Verstappen’s fifth successive top three finish, as well as his fifth top three finish in total at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
ON THE PODIUM
Charles Leclerc and Kimi Antonelli joined Max Verstappen on the podium at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix.
This was the first time that Verstappen and Leclerc shared a 1-2 finish since the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix. It was the 11th time they have finished first and second. Of those 11 occasions, the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix is the only time Leclerc has finished ahead of Verstappen.
Leclerc recorded his 55th podium finish with Ferrari, equalling Rubens Barrichello and Sebastian Vettel for second on the list of most top three finishes with the Scuderia. Michael Schumacher, who took 116 podiums with Ferrari, is now the only driver with more top three finishes at the team than Leclerc.
This was Leclerc’s fifth podium finish of the season – his first since the Belgian Grand Prix.
Leclerc equalled his best-ever Singapore Grand Prix result, having also finished second here in 2019 and 2022.
Antonelli recorded his 15th podium finish of the season – and his eighth top three finish in the last ten races.
This was the 17th consecutive Grand Prix in which at least one Mercedes driver finished on the podium. This is now the team’s longest streak of top three finishes since they recorded top three results at all 22 races between the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix and the 2018 French Grand Prix.
IN THE POINTS
Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc all retained their 100% points-scoring rates at the Singapore Grand Prix.
With fourth place in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, this was the first time since 2022 – when he also finished fourth – that Lando Norris did not finish on the podium at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Finishing fifth in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri recorded his first top five finish since the Italian Grand Prix.
Completing the race, Lewis Hamilton became the first driver to have raced 900 Grand Prix laps at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Hamilton finished sixth in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix. Of the 16 races he has completed this year, he has finished in the top six on each occasion.
Liam Lawson finished seventh for the second race weekend in a row. It was his twelfth points-scoring appearance of the season.
This was the first top seven finish for the Red Bull junior team at the Singapore Grand Prix since Carlos Sainz finished fourth in 2017.
Finishing eighth, Nico Hulkenberg equalled his and the Audi team’s best result so far in 2026. He last finished eighth at the Dutch Grand Prix. This was Audi’s fourth top eight finish in total.
Eighth place marked Hulkenberg’s best-ever result in his 13 appearances at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Hulkenberg recorded the best Singapore Grand Prix result for the former Sauber team since 2009, when Robert Kubica finished ninth for BMW Sauber.
George Russell started 19th and finished ninth in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix. It was the first time a driver starting 19th on the grid scored points in Singapore.
Isack Hadjar scored a single point with a tenth place finish in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix. Of races he has started, this was the first time he failed to finish in the top six since retiring from the 2026 Miami Grand Prix.
Hadjar became the first driver to score a point having started from the pit lane since Max Verstappen finished on the podium from a pit lane start at the 2025 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. It was also the first time a driver scored a point having started from the pit lane at Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Coming home in 14th place, Carlos Sainz failed to score a point in the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time since 2019.
Arvid Lindblad finished 15th in the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, failing to score a point for only the second time in the last 12 Grands Prix.

This was Albon’s third successive retirement. He last recorded three DNFs in a row at the Spanish, Canadian and Austrian Grands Prix. It equalled the longest retirement streak of his career to date.
Gabriel Bortoleto failed to finish the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, recording his second non-finish of the year. He failed to start the Chinese Grand Prix. This was the first time he retired from a race he started since the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Having not recorded any retirements in his first 31 starts with Alpine, Franco Colapinto recorded his second DNF in his last three appearances at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix.
