Williams have officially unveiled their 2017 car, the FW40.

The team previously shared computer rendered images of their car last Friday, though the official images seem somewhat different to the render. The eye is immediately drawn to the large shark fin, which features the familiar Martini branding. The car also features sponsorship from new sponsors JCB.

Felipe Massa, who retired at the end of the 2016 season, comes out of ‘retirement’ following Mercedes’ poaching of Valtteri Bottas. The experienced 35 year-old will be joined by Canadian Lance Stroll, who will make his F1 debut aged 18.

Williams finished third in the Constructors’ Championship in 2014 and 2015, but struggled in their battle for fourth with Force India in 2016. TPat Symonds has left the team ahead of the 2017 season, but hey will be joined instead by Paddy Lowe from Mercedes. He joins as the team’s most senior technical figure.

What do you think to Williams’ 2017 car? Will they be able to fight for fourth again in the Constructors’ Championship this year? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
