Senna has the record for the most consecutive poles at the circuit, having set the Saturday pace in every season between 1988 and 1991 (all races which he went on to win). Max Verstappen has been fastest in qualifying at the Belgian Grand Prix in all of the last three seasons but has only started from pole on one of those occasions.
