Your 2022 Miami GP predictions: the results

Did you predict that the polesitter would not win? Or that Schumacher would fail to score? How many of your pre-race predictions for the 2022 Miami Grand Prix were correct? Find out below!

1. WILL BOTH MERCEDES FINISH IN THE TOP 8?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: YES

For the third time this year, both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finished in the top six. Russell recorded the better result with fifth place, while Hamilton came home one position behind his team-mate.

2. WILL SCHUMACHER SCORE?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

So close but so far for Mick Schumacher. The Haas driver was set to score the first points of his F1 career until the closing stages, when he made contact with Sebastian Vettel. While the Aston Martin driver retired, Schumacher was able to finish only 15th.

3. WHAT WILL THE WIN MARGIN BE?

YOUR PREDICTION: 5-10 SECONDS

CORRECT ANSWER: LESS THAN 5 SECONDS

Max Verstappen took victory by finishing 3.786 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc. It was the second smallest win margin of the year to date, behind the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

4. WILL THE POLESITTER WIN THE RACE?

YOUR PREDICTION: NO

CORRECT ANSWER: NO

Charles Leclerc failed to convert his pole position into a win at the Miami Grand Prix. It was the first race at a new venue not to be won from pole position since the 2012 United States Grand Prix.

5. WHERE WILL CARLOS SAINZ FINISH?

YOUR PREDICTION: ON THE PODIUM

CORRECT ANSWER: ON THE PODIUM

Carlos Sainz finished where he started at the Miami Grand Prix, recording his first podium since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. It was also his first finish since then, having completed just a single lap in the previous two Grands Prix.
